Installed JWT POP charger, protect or move the ac line?

no no, here's what you do....the bracket on the intake arm that is bolted to the intake manifold loosen it but don't take it out. move the intake arm to the left away from the ac line. then tighten down the bolt. that'll keep the intake from rubbing the ac line. i have a good half inch of space between there. don't know how to post pics, hopefully i described this ok. does that make any sense to anyone?

1. Loosen the Z-tube seizing clamp screw where your MAF housing slips under, and also the Popcharger bracket side which connects to the car.
2. With the popcharger and MAF housing intact, you rotate both pieces counterclockwise about 1/2". (No need to change filter position and rotate to one bolt over. That won't gain you anything.)
3. Re-tighten the Z-tube seizing clamp screw and Popcharger bracket to the car.
4. You should be ok with clearance. This is just to slightly change the angle of the Popcharger bracket to allow for the clearance.
Hope this helps.

Thank god I read this thread
I just checked the AC line. My dealer installed the z-tube and pop charger (as per our agreement when I bought the car). The set up has been on for 3 days and sure enough, you could see the scraping on the AC line from the end of the Z-tube/beginning of the pop charger.
I secured the AC line to the bracked w/ a zip tie as jbone did. From now on, I am going to do all work myself, w/ the help of one of my former students, who is a pretty decent mechanic.
I have two question: Will pulling the AC line over a bit damage it?
Also, do you guys think that the popcharger is worth it? No doubt it increases airflow over the stock set up, even w/ a K&N drop in. However, it seems that the stock set up might mitigate engine heat?
Opinions, please.

Wire loom is too thin and will wear fast. Get a 6" inch piece of 3/8" vacuum line, cut it down the middle and put it over the line. Use wire ties to keep it in place.
There's also an elongated hole on the z-tube so make sure the tube is positioned at the far end of the hole away from the AC line. It'll give you a little extra clearance, no rubbing.
