plenum questions.
I am a proponent of the Motordyne spacer over the AAM, for several reasons:
1) I am a Motordyne customer, and Tony has taken care of me and others with unsurpassed customer service.
2) Tony is a G35Driver member.
3) The fit/finish on the MD unit was top-notch, as was the hardware. AAM units have been known to come with inadequate/incorrect hardware.
4) I don't see the advantage of the sloped design, nor the inherent sealing/hardware issues due to it. The plenum itself is sloped enough to maintain the velocity needed, IMHO.
Just my 1/50th of a dollar.

AAM is a POS.. no offence to any AAM fan.. unless they've changed the design of their spacer..
1. For those of you thats taken apart our intake manifold before you'll see TWO 10mm NUTS on the front left and right side of the engine.. while everyother plenum company (motordyne, crawford, APS, etc..) replaces those studs.. AAM leaves them.. as in not there...
2. The edges of the AAM are RAZOR sharp....
3. It just moves the Upper three (the very long) OEM plenum bolts to the lower three.. how cheap is that?
4. Motordyne's 1/2" Spacer and Crawford's Upper Plenum BOTH dynoed higher then AAM..
PLEASE correct me if im wrong (updated ver2 of aam spacer).. AAM is a great company.. just not at making spacers for g35s/350z
this is comming from someone thats installed pretty much every manifold, spacer, plenum, etc.. including that blinged out kentix (sp?) one..

new 03 sedan owner here and i was wondering if a MREV & ISO thermal spacer would be worth the nearly 500$ for the power gains?
As well as an injen SP1993 intake?

I've heard some good feedbacks from the my350z crew about the AAM spacers. But for future proof, I'd get Motordyne's if I want to go FI later on
There aren't much of a difference in cost, and Motordyne's are dyno proven for best gains.
From what I've been reading, 5/16" is best fitted since:
a. We won't Rev our 5AT that high like we'd with 6spd, 5/16" is best for midrange than 1/2 (for top-end)
b. OEM Engine cover can fit well.
