Thank you for the advice--By the end of the week, I should have a happy smile on my face. Would you agree that in doing the install myself, it should be relatively easy to switch back to stock if I want to?Originally Posted by andy2434
I originally ran the MREV+ with a Z tube/K&N combo with no issues for some 4k miles. Soooo, simply take your time with MREV install. Be sure everything is seated and torqued properly and all of the reused existing parts are reconnected, as they were removed. Have a great install and enjoy!

Yes, absolutely . . . If the need does arise . . . It should be a breeze to remove the MREV and restore everything back to stock. That was one of my considerations, as well. Originally Posted by jonnylaw

If you were to ever need to return to stock, after removing the MREV+ lower plenum, would you need to replace the Aramid iso-thermal gasket with a new one in order to maintain a good seal?

Depending on what the situation was . . . I would either leave the Aramid gasket in place or get a new stock gasket. Actually, I need to go out to the gargage and look at OEM gasket. If my memory serves me right, I think the OEM gasket was made out of some sort of plastic type of material . . . In which case, I might re-install it, if the situation dictated as such.Originally Posted by chiapet15

Hi Guys,
Just an FYI. The MREV does not change your idle in any way once installed correctly.
A lumpy idle can happen if there is a air leak but air leaks only happen if something is not done correctly on the install.

I ordered the M-rev too, but this issue worries me. I only have a z-tube, and not the stillen airbox, but if the shuttering happens to me and it is anything like the shuttering that happens when u r in 2nd gear and not going fast enough to not stall, I would consider swapping it out cuz that would annoy the caro out of me. Still can't wait for the Mrev+ to arrive though
If you ever hear someone say they are double clutching ask them to see their 18 wheeler. You have absolutely no need to do that. You don't even need to heel/toe unless you a braking really fast into a corner, hell I can't even do it, my foot doesn't bend that way very good. Just burp the damn gas a bit and drop a gear. You should have no shudder or idle change, mine is fine. Hell my brother even port matched the lower MREV manifold to the intake manifold and I have zero issues.Originally Posted by jonnylaw
It doesn't seem to make a lot of sense to me either, but maybe people double (granny) clutch when downshifting instead of heel and toe technique for rev matching if they can't heel and toe? dunno?I ordered the M-rev too, but this issue worries me. +1 . . . And this is evident by the fact that a member experiencing a lumpy idle had forgot to reconnect the emissions tube. Once the said had been reconnected, via a PM, everything was running smoothly. The MREV is no different than any other mod out there . . . We need to be diligent when working on our cars. I have made my share of mis-steps. Fortunately, I caught those blunders in time. Originally Posted by Hydrazine

There has been a large rush of orders recently but they are still shipping out on a steady pace. Yours will go out soon if it hasn't already shipped.

so i put my copper mrev plus on sunday morn. I had it dynoed again, i also had a baseline 1 week ago. I have a 06 6mt with sports package ( 19inch wheels) with a z-tube and popcharger i pulled 227 hp and 201 tq. It was 85 degrees out. I had it dynoed again yesterday, with the m-rev and it was 105 degrees out. so the true results are probably better. I pulled a max of 238 hp and 217 tq. That being said i would tell everyone to get this. The shop i did it at could not belive the change from last week. When i was telling them what I thought it was going to pull (prayed to gain 10 hp and 15 tq.) they thought i was nuts. They were dumbfounded at the end of my runs.
If you are thinking of doing a mrev-plus. DO IT. YOU WILL NOT REGRET IT ONE BIT.

I have an 04 6mt. I have the pop charger and z tube set up. I am really interested in getting the Mrev kit. Is the Mrev+ an upgrade and do you have to have the Mrev kit installed? What about the Plenum spacer? Is the spacer already included in the Mrev kit?

Yes, the MREV+ is an upgrade to the MREV. It is the non RevUp lower collector, which Tony at MotorDyne modifies. I am not quite sure on how Tony is handling the exchange of the stock lower collectors and the modified lower collectors for those whom want the MREV+ in their non RevUp motors. Give Tony a shout. He is very helpful and attentive to the members here. Originally Posted by bleezo3

If you haven't read this following thread. It may hold some answers for you.
