Please make sure all the clamps are tightened and your pcv hose is connected.
From your photo, the tube appears to be slightly off. You need to realign the tube so the bends are inline with the throttle body and the airbox.

Also, you would not throw a CEL from the intake tube, that's most likely attributed by the test pipes(run the 0bd2 scanner)

That's the thing though.. there is no other way to "align" it.. that's the only way it'll fit.. The vendor that I got it from told me that I have it on backwards.. but I don't think I do. I think the bends on the tube that I got are.. off..

Also, I never had a problem with the CEL until I installed the intake tube.. But I'll double check.

i don't understand why you just don't install a ztube if youre have so many problems with that piece? it's not like it offers +2342343234 more hp than a standard ztube.

 

You're missing the point. I didn't buy this for performance gains. As far as I know, it doesn't offer any.

.. and I paid for a product that is supposed to work as advertised.. and fit somewhat decent.. but it doesn't. The vendor and UTR are saying that I'm installing it incorrectly, but I'm trying every way possible but with no luck.

What do you want me to do? Sell it? --and have another fellow G35/350z owner suffer through the same problems I'm experiencing? I'm just trying to figure out if I am installing it incorrectly or if there's something wrong with the ztube that I received..
