injen final answer.... must read please hlep

Hey guys,

i just orderd an injen cai ... i believe its RD1992 X-1015

i have an 04 automatic coupe.

i heard alot of suff about hydrolocking and i researched all the threads

bottom line i like injen and i got a good deal.

i want to prevent hydrolocking

injen makes a product called "HYDROSHIELD" which prevents water from entering the filter.......... should i buy this or a bypass valve?

if bypass valve what kind and where can i get one?

get the hydroshield, or the water by-pass valve (via AEMpower.com; something like that). only if you're super scared, and drive through puddles and the lakes.

The hydroshield won't work if the filter is submerged...if you want to be really safe you can make a short ram intake out of your injen, or install a bypass valve along with yuor hydroshield

That thing looks like a cheap copy of the AEM.

It looks to me like your intake would just try and suck all the air in thru that valve....

I ran my Injen for about 1 1/2 yrs and never had any problems....but I never drove thru any deep puddles or shallow lakes either.....
