Who is upgrading their Mrev for the Mrev2?

I ordered mine on the 1st day, and it should be here on friday. I won't be doing any dyno work though.

Who else is being a guinea pig?

I've got the first MREV+ Copper Iso Thermal, and I just don't see that it would be worth trying to sell this just to buy the version 2. I don't think the gains would justify the financial loss I'd take.

It's only about a $100+ more, but I am nervous because of all the recent dynos. Apparently it hasn't been tested on the REVUP motors yet. I thought it had been. I guess I didn't follow the threads carefully enough.

I have bought the mrev v2 and still contemplating the install. I might do the dyno for Tony on my G. My mrev2 does not get here until Friday and my weekend is tied up and next week is going to be busy. So maybe someone will beat me to the dyno.

Tony from MD has tested it on his G, revup, and the results are mixed. Good torque in the middle but lost about 20HP off the top IIRC. If you like I can post the link the my350z thread that is discussing the revup.

I guess that's that for me. I've got a RevUp and we've seen that the original MREV+ does the job on it. I'll stick with what I have.

Please forgive me, as I haven't been on the forums for a while.

So, the MREV version 2 can be used on ANY G35? Does this mean those of us with 2005 Automatics too?

Basically, it will also work on non-MREV cars. Correct?

no worries.

Yes it will install on the automatics as well.

There are some open concerns regarding gains and losses. The jury is stil out on the mrev v2 + the spacer on the revups. What I have gathered is that the mrev v2 has some great benefits in the mid range but at WOT there are some significat loss in HP.

Read the link below.

I'm not sure how it will affect me, since I have the automatic with a 1/2" spacer and the IsoThermal gasket.

wasn't that test performed without a spacer, though? I would expect those results without the spacer as you are trading the "revup" plenum for a lightly massaged lower "normal" plenum.

I am waiting to receive the MREV 2, as many of you are. This week would have been an excellent time to get it . . . As I have the time to install it and perform a post install dyno. For those of you whom have the MREV 2, please get it installed and dyno'd. The suspense is killing me.

I would but I am not goig to have the time. Like you Andy this week would have been ideal for me to install and tune but mine is not arriving until friday sometime more than likely around 4PM. This weekend and next week is loaded up.

I sure would like the privilidge to be the first to know is it a go fast mod or no gas mod.

I wish I had some ambien ad could sleep through this wait.
