OK guys, I know it's probably hidden in a thread somewhere, but what about a thread that ONLY covers the lips available for the 06 6MT's...

Given that 80% of us have asked the question "Will the OEM lip fit the 06"?, and gotten that answer, that begs the question "What pray tell should we put on the 06?".

Ideas gang...

 

there are no lips that will fit your sport bumper

and there probably will never be because the sport bumper is too complex..

there are already billions of fitment issues with the standard bumper so i doubt there will ever be one for the sport bumper..

 

Some1 is working on a carbon fiber splitter(similar to a lip), I think there will be a group buy for it!!!

but i still dont think there will ever be a wide variety of lips for the sport bumper..

 

I dont think there will be a wide variatey either, especially with the model change coming up soon.

 

member athensg has an 06 and got his body shop to modify his ings bumper to fit onto the 06 lip.........pm and search him

 

That'd be cool! Better than nothing, and when done right the CF stuff looks good all on it's own, (IE without painting).

As for the statement elsewhere in the thread that the sport bumper is too complex... that really doesn't matter at all when it comes to making a lip. Heck, if 4080 can make sub boxes that fit like a glove then making lips should be a walk in the park. (Not you 4080, but for the manufacturers that make these things for a living.)

I aasked this question a few weeks ago also. I'm waiting on an '06 lip too.

 

Import Trenz is making the splitter (CF) for 06 and 05 coupes for now..I was down there 3 weeks ago and saw ones for Audi and that thing looked HOT..
I think they will have this splitter ready for us shortly..
