how to install MESH???

so i have the kuruma z bumper finally painted. and am planning on installing tonight.

question is. how do i install the mesh grill it came with? do i use cement? what exactly do i use? someone help out ASAP! =)

i was one of the first to get the bumper, and now one of the last to put it on. lol its about damn time. took two weeks for them to paint it. but i got hooked up for $220. so no complaints here.

I would use a 2 part epoxy, but not the quick setting type, and make sure the inside of the bumper is scuffed so the epoxy will bond correctly. A bondo/fiberglass mix known as kitty hair would also work well in this application, but may be overkill.

Anyone have pics from the backside of their mesh installed? I'm in the same situation and don't really want to epoxy the mesh to the bumper. I don't mind using epoxy to to put some washers or nuts then screw the mesh on but I rather not make it so permanent just in case I need to remove the mesh later.

you dont epoxy the mesh itself. you epoxy the mouting hardware..

i tried epoxy and it sucks. yume suggested bondo and it works great!

if you have a sp/gialla grille then look at how that mesh is mounted

If your bumper is glass. Get some bailing wire from home depot. Get a can of bondo glass. Cut the wire in three inch pieces. Use a small piece of tape to hold the wire on the inside of the opening. Leave enough of the wire exposed so you can add the bondo glass. Once you have all the wires attached with tape mix your glass. Spread the glass over the exposed wire. Let dry for 15 min. Cut mesh to fit. Place mesh over the opening. Bend down wire. DONE!

So bondo sticks to polyurethane just fine? I guess I'll add it to my shopping list.

No that was for the guys with glass bumpers. You'll want a two part epoxy.

kuruma grills had special mounting points for a screw and washer to place.
