Countersink them and the heads of the screws will be flush with the bodykit and then just paint over them and they will look like nothing is holding them in.

^^i think i see what youre saying. that suggestion only applies if i put the screws in between those indentations though, right? cause if that's what you mean then i understand what youre saying

if not, then i'm clueless

you dont want to put the screws where the clips were you want to make screw holes .... unless you can find some type of butterfly recepticle that would work ...... mine are just screwed at random points to fluch alons the body kit. You want them to be at reletively flat points to keep it from being wavy.

I'd be a little concerned about countersinking the holes. That will make the skirt weak at the point the hole is drilled, material thinner in the countersunk area. What about having the bodyshop fiberglass studs onto the back side of the skirt so no drilling of the skirt is required and then use tons of 3M double sided tape. Really hard to say without being there but I would sure try to avoid drilling if possible.

thet make a clip that fits in that exact square hole that accepts a circle screw give me a min I will look for it

Cruisn - got your PM. PMd you back.

thankfully, my shop called around and found clips that will fit perfectly! why they didn't do this to begin with? i don't know. but all that matters is they found the clips!

You know what...I would use gorilla glue, that thing expands 4x its volume, so I'd fill the hole with the glue in the clip, then screw into the hole, wait till it cures, it will be more secure than whatever you might be using.

^gorilla glue sounds messy (maybe it's not..i have no idea what that is lol)

but i don't wanna mess with the holes because i want to be able to buy the stock clips and put them back in when i part out my car

gorilla glue is strong and seem like a good solution if you didnt find the clip you were looking for, it's a serious glue and very useful for screws that stripped the hole.

When done properly Countersinks are just as strong as a normal hole and screw (I install countersink rivits in Aircraft every day. I think if you can trust it to hold sheetmetal on a plane you can trust it to hold a bodykit on lol.

they said they would look how how thick/thin that part of the fiberglass is. if it's thick enough, they will do it
