Hey I'm interested in putting bats rear valence bumper overlay (black) on my DG. Anyone have some good pics?

I dont understand the unpainted look on the bottom of the bumper, can someone explain? I mean, a lot of cars seem to come with the bottom of bumper unpainted between exausts so why cover the paint?

Im not cryticizing, just trying to understand the look, maybe it needs to grow on me.
