Interesting...i never thought of using LEDs rather than ccfl's. Look kinda "chunky" though compared to ccfl's.

that's hot. I've been wanting to get them, but installation seems complicated. I don't wanna end up with condensation in the lights.

I figured that for 06 you have to used something like that. They just don't make CCFLs in that size and cheap enough to get. CCFL is too fragile without a hard casing anyway.

good job for doing something original.

props for clean work. but i think it'll look better with just the ring on top and not the bottom. btw: did you bend your own ring?

Do they really look like LED's ? Well, there not.
These are CCFL lights. They are a custom size. They were made to fit the FX headlights. For those that don't know,I do alot of head light mods for the FX.These just came in last week.I was installing a set for a FX,and had a set of 06 lights apart allready,so I did a test fit.I think they are a great fit.
The housing around the CCFL lights is ribbed on the inside. They match the lines on the lights very well.Just a CCFL ring up against the projector housing does not look right at all.I have tried, plus it is harder to hide the wires on just the ring.
If people are interested,I will try to make these available.
They will also be much lower in price than that other place is selling CCFL's for.

ooooooooooooooooooohhhhh...now that you mentioned it, i took a closer look at your pics and notice the ccfl tube inside the ring. Very neat. Can you get the ccfl in blue as well?

Experimenting with blue as well.

Us FXers and caskyline have been experimenting with various lights from various manufacturers, many complained about how cheap the open ccfl rings looked since we have use 2 rings surface mounted like the 06+ G projector set up.
