Hey guys i just bought the OEM lip for my 05 coupe front bumper (i have an 06 but switched bumpers to install this lip). you guys got any tips or advice on the best way to install this? From reading the install guide im guessing the best way is to take off my bumper...Should i also use alcohol to clean the part where the double sided tape sticks?
my tip: get a friend to help you. it's easier with two people.
my bumper was left on the car for installation.

How hard was the drilling part? Did you use the template? Thanks for the help guys...

Yeah, definately use the templates to make sure the holes are in the right place. Oh yeah like Hero said get another person to help you.

I took my bumper off so I can make sure that the nuts were on tight enough to hold the lip on. But you can install it with the bumper on. And yes, definitely use the template. Don't eyeball it b/c you'll drill in the wrong place.

Thanks a lot guys...i shall be doing this tonight with a friend...hopefully it comes out correct...
Just finished installing the OEM lip...WOW what is a pain in the ***. The template they gave you just doesnt work that well so i basically measured each point on where to drill which took me about 2 hours to make sure it was correct. But overall im loving the look of this lip, it finishes off the nakedness of the front end. VERY HAPPY...

Yeah, the template was off for me too. I had to elongate the holes for the lip to go on correctly, not the big of a deal b/c the lip covers it up anyways. Glad to hear you got it on ok.Originally Posted by SpeedNStylez_JL

its been two years, i didnt bother to jack it up and it's been holding tight with just two front bolts and side screws.

Same thing I did I didn't bother w/ the tape, i don't even think it would do any good.Originally Posted by 808HerbzG35

I actually took my whole bumper off to install this. I needed to install a cold air intake bypass valve so it was much easier taking the whole bumper off...but i did drill the holes a little too big but as mike_deezy said that was the only way i could get the bolts on...
