Eyelids Removal

How can this be done?? I have eyelids on my headlights that i need to transfer to another set. They are on with 3m tape i think im in trouble to say the least haha.

p.s. heating up doesnt work, my eyelids were about to melt when i tried

If they are FG, then they shouldn't melt, just heat them up and either use fishing line to loosen them, or just pry slowly until they come off

im pretty sure they are fiberglass, i heated it and it started lightly bubbling/smoking so i stopped

just use a fishing line or dental floss using the saw motion back and forth to break the 3m tape.. and use hairdryer instead of heatgun since u said it's bubbling

just becareful not to scratch ur headlights

thats what i did with my eyelids a while back... heat it up just enough to get the 3m hot.. then use fishing line, dental floss.. etc.. and it will come right off, then buy a good polish for the headlight if your not going to keep it on there cuz' your lights will have a 'sun tan' from the eyelids.. lol
