Hey mods don't move this right away, please, i need as many opinions a possible , this section get more visitors.
Well anyways earlier this year i cracked my hood while closing it, its a small crack maybe 6-8 inches long, pictures from my original post are here:
https://g35driver.com/forums/g35-coupe-v35-2003-07/137984-crack-d-my-cf-hood.html
well the time has come and i've finally found someone who will work on it. and i need your opinions on how to paint it.
I want everyone to know that my car is black so the contrast between cf and black isn't as nice as any other lighter color say ip and cf
Ok below is a few pictures that i've mocked up for painting, the yellowish green line is right around where the crack is, just to give you an idea where they have to repair. The orange color would be we they would paint it, i.e. black.
pic 1 is how i would like it to be, solid black covering the repaired area, fading out to clear. Body shop said that maybe possible, but he doesn't recommend it because it can be kind of difficult.
pic 2 is most likely what i'll end up doing, but it won't stand out as much being that my car is black.
pic 3 is what the body shop said he could do, a solid black strip across the bottom covering the repaired area.
pic 4 is something i thru together to give you ideas,
I need as much input as possible on this one.

I kinda like #4 but I would incorporate the fade of #1 to it all around... Maybe even bring a bit of color up the middle fading back thru the center.
That would look hot.
That would look hot.

definitely not #3, id go w/ #1 if he's talented enough to give it a nice clean fade into the carbon fiber...#2 would have a clean look and would work out nicely. #4 looks hot, but only if you were painting the g another color like that orange, but on black i dont thing would look so good. so either 1 or 2 i think would look nice!

I kinda like 1 but not sure how it would look
well i'll probably get him to try option 1 then if that doesn't work out, i'll be going to option 2
