Spoiler or No Spoiler?
Spoiler or No Spoiler?
I got a black G35 coupe with no spoiler. I was planning to install a 03-05 spoiler, but the g35 coupe does not look that bad without the spoiler...

G35 Coupe "Sport Package"
Do you see spoilers on Ferrari's, Lamborghini's or Porsche's, unless they are racing them? It is just for looks and serves no purpose but to add weight. I am not a fan of the spoiler...ruins fluid lines of the car. Just like the word itself, spoiler, it "spoils" the look of the car. I prefer the G and cars like the Supra, Evo and WRX Sti without the wings. Keep it clean. JMHO.
I love the spoiler on my '05 LS coupe. I like the "clean look" if you completely
debadge the rear of the car. I think if you have no badges and no spoiler thats a real clean classy look. Just my .02

DRG35R, I know you said that Ferrari's don't have spoilers, but one thing that the sales guy told me when I was there that Ferrari's (360 Modenas) were designed to have the spoiler under the car.
Now I (think) I know the difference between a spoiler and diffuser, but he was telling me that the spoiler was not located on the top, but on the underneath of the car. Usually, a spoiler has a horizontal fin with vertical fins guiding the air traveling under the car, but on the 360, the diffuser did not have the vertical fins and was angled at such a way to act as a spoiler creating down force.
Online dictionary says that spoiler only has to be located at the back of the car.
spoil·er (spoilr)
n.
3.
a. A long, narrow hinged plate on the upper surface of an airplane wing that reduces lift and increases drag when raised.
b. An air deflector mounted usually at the rear of an automobile to reduce lift at high speeds.
Anyway, if you see in the pics, the spoilers on the bottom.
