you can paint them with testors model spray paint. the color is window tint. and you can remove it from the lights with some elbow grease and goof off. the painted ones definetatly look beter if it is done right.

It really all depends on the person, it does require patience. I'd say about a 90% success rate on the first try .

My Experience with Overlays

thanks,

I spent 2hrs with another g35 member trying to test fit 1 Over-Lay on a 2006 G35c Tailight and it just wasnt working...

Im not saying i am the best, but i did have mad patience and took my time trying to get it right, but it just wasnt happening

I have tinting windows and other glass's before, but these curves on the taillights are a killer and i went to 2 dif tints shops who wouldnt even attempt this

I got my spray tint off ebay called VHT Nite-Shades (only 1 can needed $8.50 + shipping)
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/VHT-N...spagenameZWDVW

Spray Tint was very easy & all you have to do it remove the tail lights and wipe them down so they are clean...

I held the can aprox 1.5' away from the lights and did lite layers until i got the darkness i wanted, honestly i get a lot of compliments on them and IMO its better looking

Let me know if you need anything

Joe

Legit.. thanks guys. I'm about to go on vacation starting Saturday or Sunday so I'm putting this on hold until I get back (October).. I still don't know whether I want to go the overlays route or spraying. I'll probably end up doing the overlays and if they dont work, I'll spray it.. I'd just rather have a "0 risk" f*ck-up than a "you're getting new tail-lights" fkup..

to G35Pinoy: appreciate it man, SD trip on the backburner too until I get back though, but I'll give you a shout if I come down at some point

BTW, VERY nice looking G's joe! I'm pretty sure the spray looks better/more 'flush'.. hmm..

Thx Man

the spray tint is easily removed buy wiping it with thiner without hurting the light, just read up on it, its pretty cool stuff. just make sure you have a clean area to spray them in
