when i lifted up my bro's evo 9 hood or his s2k, now that's light.
i blame the skeleton structure underneath the hood. anyone know if that's aluminum as well?

I own a 93 RX7 R1 (Full race car now)and the hood of my G coupe is about the same weight
I change the hood of the RX7 to Carbon Fiber
Yes the CF is lighter, but the stock hoods are about the same

lol, those hoods are aluminum as well, and smaller than ours, of couse our hoods are going to feel heavier.

May I suggest lubricating the hood hinges. I live in the Boston area and the hinges were binding, making the hood feel heavy. A little lube took care of the problem.
