cuz that thing sure is heavy!

I think you are joking right?? It is the lightest hood I have ever picked up...I had to fix my hinges and had no idea that it was so light and had a friend help??? do you go to the gym??

I think you are mixing up your materials...aluminum is very light in comparison to other metals....are you sure your not talking about steel?

Anyways, yes are hood is aluminum and it is pretty light compared to other hoods.

maybe you should install some gas lifters for it, can make even heavy hoods lighter (i was spoiled with my last car, was alum and had gas lifters, basically lifted with 2 fingers about 6inches...)

maybe you got shafted at the factory and they made your hood out of lead, I guess the rest of us got lucky cuz mine sure feels like its aluminum

yeah definitely light, when putting my cf hood, there wasn't a noticeable difference in weight at all.
