but back on topic. yes, nismo would be nice, but if the '06 bumper is there for the taking, it looks just as aesthetically pleasing IMO.
Ha.. I like it 2... Hopefully I wont get in trouble .... Anyway... The 06 with a lip kit would look great... depends on ur style and the cash flow. Keep us updated on ur choice

dont put a fiberglass fnt bumper if it is a daily driver in any sense of the word. fiberglass always cracks. go poly it will hold up. that is why no auto maker has a fnt bumper made out of fiberglass. except a vette and it has regular plastic on the bottom where road debree will hit. if you go fiberglass you will regret it. been there done that on a 03 350z. cracked in 3 months with daily driving never hitting anything in the road that i noticed. good luck. pick the 06 bumper

^^^you can't judge all fiberglass bumpers from one bad experience

poly may hold up "better," but if/when it is damaged...it'll be more difficult to repair. that and you're going to have a tough time fitting it if it already has sucky fitment.

We're all different. That's what makes the world go round. As indicated, I luv my Sport Bumper - AS IS

Q for u lou: my body shop ordered the sports bumper fot me but told me there may be an indentation for the license plate and they orderd a cover for it that they say tjey can paint. They say this is different than the tow hook cover. Did ur sports bumper have this indentation for the license plate requiring a cover?

Is my body shop mistaken? Could they be thinking of the sedan bumper instead of the coupe bumper? The sedan front bumpers and coupe front bumpers are not interchangeable, correct?

Thx for the reply, but I don't exactly know what u are saying. Can you elaborate. My o5 bumper has no license plate indentation that required a cover, and the pics on infiniti's website do not show a license plate indentation requiring a cover. So what is this license plate indentation and cover? This is the first time I have ever heard of it. The body shop sais they can return the cover if it is not needed, but I am worried that they did not order the right part.

that's what I thought too red, but the rep at the bodyshop said this was different from thetow hook cover, which makes nosense to me. I'm gonna call tony at riverside and see what he says. There is no license plate indentation and cover on infiniti website showing the sport bumper.

Bottom line is if the sport bumper that my body shop comes with a license plate indentation and cover, I am going to kindly request they return the part and order through tony myself if I have to. No way I want a license plate hole on my sports bumper. If there is none on new cars from the factory I see no reason why there would be one for oem replacements.

If anyone knows the exact part number for the 06 sports bumper, that would really help.

That's BS. Tow Hook exactly the same. No indentations for front license plate. I'm in Arizona; we have no requirement for a front plate. Sedan and coupe have different bumpers.

that's exactly what I thought lou. The body shop I chose does great paint work but this recent statement by them has me wondering. I guess I'll just have to wait until the part comes in. If it isn't what I expect I'm calling bs as well and might have to take my business elsewhere. We shall see.

part number ordered by body shop verified to be right part number for 06 sports bumper by tony at riverside, so everything hopefully will turn out well.

so you went with the 06. lot cheaper than Nismo. you can add a data system poly lip to it

yea the 06 was cost effective. Does the 06 sports bumper look ok with 05 skirts or do the 06 sports ones look that much better with the 06 sports bumper?

IMO, you need the 06 skirts to go with the 06 bumper, but you can pull it off without them, triple8sol has that setup
