Lip Question

I just bought my 04 G35 6MT about 2 weeks ago and started modding it a little with wheels, tint, and clear corners.

However, that has nothing to do with my question. I bought the car with a sort of... different looking front. It looks stock but I am beginning to think there is a lip molded to the bumper because mine looks a little different from all other stocks I have seen.

Believe me, I don't mean to seem like a noob or anything but I am new to the wide world of G's from the very narrow yet expanding world of eclipse 3g's that just didn't have the reliability I needed in a DD. That is a whole different story, though.

So, correct me if I am wrong but I do believe this is an aftermarket lip.

(front goes in next week along with rear to be touched up for free by the dealer we go it from so there are a few rock chips that won't be there for long)

SCORE! haha this keeps getting better and better.

First I find this car for 25k with 24,000 miles on it and it was only driven in the summer who's only defects are a few rock chips in the front bumper. Which are getting fixed for free by the dealer. Then I find 20" Donz staggered wheels with brand new Nitto NT555 tires for $600 off a woman who's son had gone to college and sold his G just after getting them in the mail without even putting them on.

You're one lucky sob . Post more pics of the car, with your 20in wheels. I too just recently got my IP coupe but it's an 03. I paid $24 for it with 30k miles. Good find though

better check under the hood and make sure your previous owner didn't already install a tt.

And for those asking for pics, I will get them as soon as the bumper gets touched up.

haha unfortunately man, the car is stock right now other then tint, wheels, and clear corners. I would have realized if it was boosted haha.

Although as soon as the warantee runs out on this bad boy, you can expect to see a fully built engine and reworked heads, turbonetics single kit, and most of the new engine and tranny parts cryogenically tempered.

As for right now, it's staying mostly stock except for maybe some intake and exhaust mods.

I am no stranger to FI as I have dealt with it a lot so you can expect nothing less then that to happen with this car in about 2 1/2 years.

Thanks for the ID man! I was wondering what kind it was.

I think I'm going to go ahead and pick up INGS +1 sides and a nismo rear lip when my next paycheck comes to finish the kit. I have some unique paint ideas so we will see how that turns out.

After that, I'm going to find myself a used z-tube and popcharger and keep it at that for now. Later on I will do an exhaust but I have to research and see what I like first.

you might want to hold off on getting the nismo. the fit is not that great. you're better off getting the replica ones since it fits better. try ravspec.

I really agree strongly. I am glad the previous owner did it honestly. It is definitely quality work too.
