I've heard huper optik tint was really good. I've been looking for places that will do it for a 06 g35 coupe and the cheapest i've found was $420....is this the going rate or do you guys know of any other places that can do it for much less. I live in los angeles, ca.

Huper Optik ceramic tint is a wonderful tint and all but seriously spending that amount of cash is just not worth it. I went with Solar Gard HP Charcoal which only cost $100 OTD. Granted there'll be a metallic reflection in certain angles of the sun but anything more than $125 in Socal is not worth it. Keep in mind Los Angeles Police is notorious for fix it tickets.

 

that sounds about right...it's going to be in the 400s. make sure your tinter knows how to install huper correctly. none of this vinyl over the dot matrix bs. if he's good, he'll be able to place huper directly over the dot matrix.

 

depends on the vehicle... some dot matrix is smaller and sometimes tint can stick over it... but tint in general doesn't adhere well to dot matrix and youll see a white cloudy haze in the year to come... looks like ****, just get it painted flat black so it will match the teflon 100% and looks way good!

 

Fair price. Got mine done at Songs TintMasters in Los angeles. Turned out really good...looks like factory window tint. these guys really know how to properly install this film. when i got this done a couple of years ago... they were the only authorized dealer in SoCal. also, this film attracts less attention from the fuzz since its non-reflective.
