20% or 35% tints
Hello all,
I'm getting my tints put on this friday and I am not sure which % to go. I'm debating over 35% or 20%. Which one would you guys prefer? I'm scared that 20% will attract cops or be too hard to see at night while driving. And a bit worried that 35% might be too light during the day. Is 20% hard to see at night?
35% or 20% ?
Thanks for your replies in advance

In my experience, 20% doesn't really affect nighttime driving or visibility to the point of being distracting or too dangerous.
Not sure about the laws from state to state, but I'm fairly certain that you cannot be pulled over simply because of your window tint. However, because the G35 comes with (I think) 8% of light blocked (92% tint, essentially) even 35% would be illegal in a state with 35% tint laws, because your tint if measured would be about 32%.
I opted for 35% so that I can always play the ignorance card about the stock windows having a slight tint, but I really wish I had gone 20% just 'cuz I think it would look a lot better.

i say go with the 20% if your always looking out for cops ready to put your windows down. otherwise 35% would be right for you.

I have 18% and I live on Socal. So far I've been ok, but maybe because during the day I drive with my windows down for the most part? Except when I gotta look good and keep my hair all nice :-D.
But I've been fine so far *knock on wood* and there have been plenty of times where I have had to roll my windows down. I dont have very much trouble, but it took some getting used to to be able to see out. It looks sick tho so I love it!
