I have some rust on b-pillars. I went to body shop to get estimate for refinishing-I thought it's just something on the surface from stone chip.
When estimator poked around he found out that rust is coming from INSIDE and appears both ways-on the outside and facing interior as well. On both driver side doors.
I went to dealership, since rust warranty is 7 years/unlimited km. They were not surprised and said that damage is subject to review by Infiniti HQ, but generally entire doors are getting replaced-under warranty. They fix couple of cars every month.

I am too busy right now and plan on doing it in spring(rust will be more obvious after salty winter!).
So if you have something similar, it is worth going to dealership and showing rust to them.

 

My driver's side B-Pillar were rusted and dealer replaced entire door last year. Now recently, the passenger's side is also starting to rust. I called the dealer and they said they will also replace entire door under warranty.
