Problem

This problem have bugged me since I got the splash guards installed. The screw shown in the attached picture does not fully tighten. That screw does hold and locks-in, but just stiffly turns and turns continuously. I know for a fact that the screw hole in fender liners is a bit expanded, but something behind the liner and side skirt must still be hold it else it would be locking. Just bugs me that it wouldn't tighten.

Jason or anybody know why?

Thats the screw that is threading into the plastic of the side sill correct?

If so, its only going to get so tight before the plastic is ripped away. The threads of the screw will keep the screw in place. It cant be tightend too much. You can get a thicker screw and put into its place and this time not tighten it down as much...

Yes, it's the screw that goes through the splash guard, fender liner, and side sill. The screw still hold the components together pretty good, just the fact that something is something is messed up is bugging me. You guys think this is too small of a problem to be worrying about?

I wouldnt worry about it... Just check that its there after a bit of driving and didnt come out...

When you get a chance, get a little thicker screw and dont screw it in as hard...

no biggie!

Thanks! I've already drove 100+ miles, screw and components are still there.
