Hey guys, I did a search and had no luck finding a avg price quote to expect for repainting my entire G the same color ( twilight blue ). I am thinking it would be about $3,000 USD. But wanted to get a few opinions.

$2-4k depending on the shop and how much prep work is necessary

$2,000 - $4,000 like redlude said and they'll paint the outside of your car whatever color you want.. if you want to do a color change then you'll need to paint the inside of the door panels, door jams, trunk bay, engine bay.. that'll all increase the $$ (especially if you're doing the engine bay)

 

Can the clearcoat be repaired/resprayed? I have an OB sedan and the spider webs are drivingme crazy! Not to mention the front bumper and hood!

 

Doing same color is MUCH cheaper than color change. No I don't think CC can be fixed. They must repaint the entire panel.

 

Same color repaint would probably cost anywhere from $3k-$5k

 

I would NOT suggest repainting a modern day car. You are better off buying a new one. Selling a car with a non-OEM paint job greatly decreases the value. As for the spidering, take your car to a good detailer, a rotary buffer can work wonders.

 

I know this thread is old, but I'm thinking of doing this myself. Why would you not suggest repainting a "modern car" thousands of people have done this.

 

I've heard that it decreases the resell value of the car. Since they dont know the exact reasons why you repainted the car, it could had been in an accident who knows. Thats what they told my dad at Macoo hehe.

But yea Why cant you just respray the CC on the whole car? this is bugging me since my CC is trash.

 

I think you need to spray the CC right after the color coat so they bond.
