Help - Replacing Window Regulator/Motor, Stuck
Hi Guys
I'm replacing my faulty window motor and im stuck.
I've already removed the panel but im not sure what to do next.
Im assuming the silver panel needs to be removed but I am unsure which bolts to remove.
The service manual says the window needs to be removed, and to lower/raise the window until you can see the bolts. But since the motor is gone, I cant do that. Is this a necessary step?
What do i do from here?
Thanks guys

REMOVAL
1. Remove the front door finisher. Refer to "DOOR PANEL".
2. Operate the power window main switch to raise/lower the door window until the glass mounting bolts can be seen.
3. Remove the glass mounting bolts.
4. While holding the door window raise it at the rear end to pull the glass out of the sash toward the outside of the door.
5. Remove the mounting bolts and remove the module assembly.
6. Disconnect the harness connector for the module assembly and uncap the harness from the back.
INSTALLATION
Install in the reverse order of removal.
INSPECTION AFTER REMOVAL
Check the regulator assembly for the following items. If a malfunction is detected replace or grease it.
* Wire wear
* Regulator deformation
* Grease condition for each sliding part
The arrows in the figure show the application points of the body grease.

Well I was watching the guys do my window cause I had the same issue with my passenger window, from what I remember you don't need to take off the silver panel. You pretty much need to take off the round seals that will allow you access to take off the glass, then its pretty much replacing the motor, putting back the glass and sealing all the holes with the seal and put the panels back on. Good luck man, I know that thing is a pain in the a$$. I got my car and on the first day it broke and I had to drive it with the window open when it was -20 outside.

ok relax you are in good shape here..
you don't need to remove the window at all to get this sorted.
your next step is to take off the silver panel. you will find that thewindow motor is attached by 3 bolts to the middle of the silver panel but on the other side
so take off the silver panel, replace the window motor, and repalce the silver panel
keep at it!
ps the only reason i know is that i am from australia and my V35 is imported from japan - so i have no warranty and I just replaced this motor myself!

when i switched out my stock doors for CF ones i had the transfer windows and regulators...its pretty self explained...just take out the bad one and put the new one in..the most difficult part was making sure the window itself was where it was to begin with...it just takes some trial and error...dont put the door plate on until your window fits where you want it..or you'll find yourself taking on and off..the 10-15 bolts holing the plate on...GL

My issue is since the motor doesn't work I can't lower the window to align the bolts with the hole. The manual calls for the removal of this window.

Thanks
Given how often these motors go out, i'd strongly suggest jumping on that autozone lifetime warranty! There is no autozone here in toronto sadly.
Good luck.
