JDM Skyline Grille off eBay - HELP

So, for once I decided to be cheap and get something off eBay. I got one of those grilles some people are sporting (just the bezel and mesh on the inside). I figured I couldn't go wrong since they are all the same really and this one was $45 + shipping as opposed to $275 for the Gialla (or they were 2 years ago).

I got it and I'm trying to make it fit somehow, but it's just not happening. Did anyone else have problems getting it to fit? The top holes don't even align correctly with the plastic plug things. The bottom has no way of attaching itself and basically sticks out a bit if the holes at the top are aligned properly. The sides are a bit too high too (from the bottom). Basically the only way to make it work, it seems, is to get screws and screw all the corners down into the bumper cover in order to have it be nicely flush and fit.

Are they all like this or did I just get owned?

you get what you pay for...those grills are bad cheap knockoffs that down line up to a curved line...there is no cheap answer for you except to send it back and buy a grill that fits like a gialla or even a utr replica like i have for sale

Double sided tape will hold the bottom in place but it sounds like the top holes will need to be filled and new ones drilled. You still may have fitment issues where the hood meets but you won't know until you mod the grille at which point you can't return it. Then you still have to paint it.

I suggest you return it if possible and buy a color matching Gialla or replica from one of the other members or a new quality replica. Search and you'll find them.
