ducatiguy has both a trunk and a hood, but i havent seen him on lately. send him a pm and ask him bout them.

as for it being on a DG i dont think it will look that bad because the car is more of a dark gray, but if it were me id prolly get it painted. also i think they look the best on black cars cause they match better, hence why i would get it painted.

Everytime I see one of those carbon fiber hoods it looks like it was in an accident and the owner could not afford to paint the replacement hood.

Paint the stupid hood, it looks like a back yard project if you don't paint it. Even full carbon fibre cars like the Enzo Ferrari have the carbon fibre painted!

Also I heard these aftermarket CF hoods can be dangerous in frontal collisions. I read somewhere (I'll try to find the article) that in an accident, a CF hood decapitated the occupants because it didn't crumple since it is so stiff and wasn't designed to crumple like a metal hood.

IMO it looks nice but I will probably never get one.

s2000rs - you might want to take a look in the Coupe General forum. There's a guy in there advertising for his company that does custom CF work. The name of the thread has something to do with "custom CF parts" I think.
