Lets talk about Matte (Flat) Black paint jobs on cars please.
All matte I think will look like it's ready for topcoat imho. Maybe a two tone shiny / matte in the same color?
I saw a 240sx that was a matte. Probably just primer but it was an army flat green. Looked great actually. Very different.

Matte Black is nice but you gotta get done right and I'm sure it costs big bills to get it done right.
That 722 Edition SLR is sweet!
I'd like to see it on a G but it would have to be more of a glossy matte black like the 599GTB

Flat black looks good on any car, it doesn't have to be aggressive or exotic. Rob and Big only drive around murdered cars. I know they did it as a joke, but they got a pinto and had it blacked out, but it actually looked better than a normal pinto. You can't skip on the prep, and you have to go all the way, absolutely everything has to be blacked out.
their SUV is a prime example of NOT to do it. It looks terrible. even on his CLS the matte wasn't that great. there are different ways of doing it. a lot comes out to be more satin than matte, and that doesn't look good to me at all.
As far as I know you can do it two different ways.
1. Flat paint with a standard clear coat which you would maintain like any other paint.
2. Standard paint with a matte/satin clear coat which would be harder to maintain since you can not polish it etc.

WTF?
Yea... dont think a stock/simple body kit G would look that hot in matte black, although I could be wrong. You would have to be rocking a G like Marty. You would probably also want to incorporate some sort of matte black into your wheels.
