Quarter Panel Paint Job Gloss Question....
#16
Just got back from the body shop, spoke to the manager and he said that they clearly didn't wet sand and buff the quarter panel area after painting it. I'm supposed to drop it off tomorrow at 11am and he said it should be done by 6pm.....wil post pics as soon as I get the car back....hope it turns out well.

from what i can see, you better take a clay bar to the rest of it because it looks like they didn't bag the whole car. i will bet you that if you run your finger over the hood, you will feel overspray.
also, don't go back to this shop anymore. a quality shop using quality materials usually doesn't have to wetsand and buff after paint. sometimes, the solvents are not mixed correctly for the temperature and hazing/shrink back occurs, but they should never have let you take that car out in that condition.
anyway, i hope it turns out fine (which wetsand and buffs usually do). sometimes this process makes the painted area even smoother and glossier than factory paint. i hope both texture and color match the rest of the car.
