I got this dime size dent on my rear quarter panel close to the door. So I took my car to Dent Unlimited and he said the only way to reach that dent is by drill a hole. He will seal up the hole and put a plug on it.

Have any of you guys done it before? Should I do it?

Hmm, I have heard of that before, as there isnt a way to reach the panel on some cars. I dont know if I would go through with it. Let me know how it goes, as I was planning on using them as well.

I work at a dealer and our dent repair guy does things the same way. He fixed a few door dings on my G the same way as well. In the 5 years that I have worked there we have never had any complaints or problems as a result of having to make a hole in the panel. The hole is relatively small and as long as it it sealed up you shouldn't have any issues. The holes are made in inconspicuous places like door jambs, etc. so unless you look you won't even notice them.

Rear quarter panel are reinforced, so there is no room for PDR tools reaching through the trunk and effectively removing the dent.
To reach the spot, wheel is removed and a dime size hole is drilled through the plastic/mud liner or whatever you want to call it. It will be sealed afterwards, doesnt do anything to the car and is not visible!
