Window regulator...... again. Warranty?

I have an 05 (purchased late March 05) w 34k miles. Both my windows have been noisy for as long as I can remember and yesterday my passenger window started being finicky, I would hit auto up and it would go about half way up then go back down. I would then have to hold the UP until it went all the way up. Now it won't do anything (and is stuck down, lucky me). I assume its the regulator as opposed to the motor that went bad? I assume my car is out of warranty but has anybody else been close and gotten the dealer to cover it? Especially since they know these windows have so many issues.

it depends on whether you have complained about it while under warranty. factory goodwill is kind of a weird thing. different dealerships use it differently. if you take your car to the dealership often, you are more likely to get it goodwilled.

btw. the motor failed. if you bang on the door with your fist, usually u can get it to work temporarly.

I just installed a new motor on my car...its doing this right now...I have a DIY up of a full window motor repair and I cannot get mine to work....after tightening all the bolts back up I got the window to go up and it came back down halfway...i held the up switch and it went all the way up...before I left I wanted to make sure the window was working properly and rolled it down...wouldnt come back up again..I can here the window motor trying to turn but nothing catches...so I think my regulator part is screwed up..
