Tightening tension on doors?

Anyone know how to or ever adjust the tension on the doors? From the looks of it, it looks like the door panel has to come off, both of mine are and have always been kind of loose, always getting smacked in the legs when I'm no looking!!

I thought that was part of G35 ownership, I've learned to watch my legs when I'm in my driveway unless I want a nice bruise haha.

Whelp... I can tell ya' what I did when I got tired of the 'ole Lady complaining about the doors closing on her legs...

Pull up any of the great Sticky's on this Forum about fixing your window motors, door locks, etc. and follow the instructions for opening the door.

Find yourself something to prop the door open... (a pair of 3" extensions worked for me) and remove the three bolts holding the door propper open thingy (I have no idea what it's actually called) and pull it out the backside...

You will now have a silver box with a gold cover in your hand...

Using a precision flat head screwdriver, I pried the cover off and discovered that the mechanism is nothing more than two plastic teeth with a piece of rubber on each side for tension.

Soooo... how to increase the tension?

I simply screwed two short screws between the rubber and the case on both sides until they were flush with the case and snapped the cover back on.

Installation is reverse of removal and viola'... the doors actually stay open!

I would highly recommend cleaning your door and window lock motors and replacing the Bose Craptory Speakers at the same time so you only have to open the door once...
