i reckon i can give it a make over that will take away the lines that doesn't flow with the front of the car. It'd be pretty radical but I think the front is not un-savable given enough effort.

hope it helps
Thank you, that is a good solution and probably honestly what I will do! But first I have finally decided that I will mold over the lines that drop under each headlight and shave side markers. I will start this fiberglass project tonight! And by tomorrow night, I will have progress pix for you guys to see and give me some more feedback. I absolutely love forums because everyone is so different and not everyone agrees on styling, but at least someone out there can give you a very small detail you missed that will really help. Thanks and I will post updated pix tom night.

4-15-09 update (fiberglass hell!)

Ok So I forgot the wonderful feeling of fiberglass (even with gloves on, I am still itchin like a mother!) Here is an update of my progress of the GTR front I played with tonight

I am shaving side markers and the groves under headlight, but should I take out the holes under the headlights at bottom too, ? just like the real gtr bumper.

That sure would be something. I'm gonna support you with your project, it seems like it'd turn out to be something sick. Although personally if I were to have a car like yours, it'd be strictly a show car. Not sure about driving around in a car like that, but nice to show off.

Ok, if you are going to smooth out the lines/grooves under the headlight, so that the entire bumper is smooth there, then YES, cover the holes below them too... if you have all of that smoothed out, that bumper might turn out looking alright. (Still not a fan, but l def think that your ideas would make it better)

Thanks for input. I am still indecisive on this. But yesterday was my day off and I spent over 12 hours on this thing! I am dead tired but here is what I have accomplished so far...

This is a step by step of shaving guide for some of you to use in the future! It is not easy and takes patience. But the end result is great! You get to be different from the crowd! Anyways, I shaved the groves under lights so far, also the side markers and added 1/4 inch under where the hood closes in the middle because there is a small gap there with this bumper and I don't like it! I am still debating taking out the big holes under each light. If I do, I feel as though I should add something (RedSkylineGT mentioned to leave side markers but I took those out, and he mentioned to add groves like the real GTR bumper has) ...It's the details that always get me! lol

idk about this... if you're going to try to be diff, why not just do a custom widebody? maybe i'm a hater cuz i have a real GTR, but to be honest, no matter how you tweak it, the GTR bumper is edgy and the G35 is curvy, why take away that awesome aspect? i'm still curious though, goodluck?

Thats what i get postin pix of progress and maybe helpin some other ppl out there with changing this bumper. Can't please everyone in a forum, everyone has diff styles. I have a top secret hood coming, painting to match car. It is aggressive enough to go along with the gtr front.
