yes it is a AIT racing bumper. Although I had to modify slight fitting because the headlight did not sit well on driver side and had to cut some. Also the pass side there was a gap under the headlight that I had to glass up too. The holes are not even pre drillled! The glass is not 7 layer, dont let them lie to you. It is in a few areas, but not the whole thing! It is very flimsy in a few areas and it is sad. I had to add a few layers. My greddy front was perfect when it came in!

More progress pix of modifying the bumper, also extending the gap from bumper middle to hood and under the headlights. The side markers and groves under the headlights was a success!

Thanks. I am painting it with the same color I painted my car with (its a 3 stage custom red) I also have a top secret hood coming within a few weeks that I am painting with it as well. Here is a shot of my car now (I am selling the true Greddy front with side markers shaved, if anyone is interested, probably pretty cheap because I don't have my DA right now to sand it all down to primer)
(now the car is dropped on DF210 Tanabe) and yes I still need wheels!

Sanding that stuff is a biatch! It is tough with all the curves on the thing too because I cannot use any air tools! I have to use small blocks and stuff. But I think of all the money I get to save As far as painting the bumper. I don't know yet!! I know I need to probably incorporate black. My car is red with black interior but outside theme is red and chrome. Obviously I am not painting the middle part chrome! I am doing black but I dont know if I should drop it all the way down or wrap it under where the middle bottom grill starts. It is tough to find a good point to cut it off because there are no bolt on edges! It is all one. I am trying to limit the amount of black too. I am only using it in the center part, question is, how much should I do? I cannot decide! I am probably doing a gloss standard black to not distract from the red to much. And bring out the emblem I am going to put in the center. I encourage everyone to extend the top part by the hood. It looks sooooo much better being flush and the good thing is nobody is going through all the trouble! Anyways, back to the painting. What do you think would be the best way to paint it?

Thanks! It took some time and patience but just like anything else in life, enough passion, time, and patience, and you can get anything done

I will not comment on the GTR front bumper itself, but I must give you props for your fiberglass work; it's pretty excellent considering you're doing it yourself.

Thanks for the support guys! It is much appreciated! I am waiting on a hood to come in and prep before I paint the front end too. I got a fiberglass CHASER DRE hood

I am going to paint them together because it is easier to line up the metallic chips in paint when you paint a greater area. These 3 stage paints are tough, let me tell ya! haha. When I finish wet sanding and finalize the gtr bumper, I will take a pic of it. I just bought some nice mesh for it on ebay too

I decided to post a few sneak pix of the custom work I have done so far with fiberglass on the exterior of my car (I also did some interior work, i will post in a custom interior thread later). I will have a 400+ photo album on here when I am finished with the car.
