Window Tint Advice Needed
#17
Well, I ended up getting it done at Hot Spot Tinting at the corner of Windy Hill and Cobb Pkwy. They did a very good job. I ended up getting legal tint because I wanted to have the lifetime warranty. He did use some new tint on my windshield (80%) that significantly reduces heat, which I thought is worth it since I have a black dash. He said that 80% film (it was Llumar tint, but something new that had recently come out) rejects as much heat as the 35% I got on all the windows. I'm not too happy with the darkness of the tint, but it is legal and I don't want to worry about cops. I asked him what the lowest he thought I could go without getting into too much trouble and he said that since my car is flashy/sporty I won't get away with much. I think somewhere around 25% would have been perfect. The main reason I originally went there was because they are the authorized Huper dealer in the area, but once he put some huper on my car I wasn't a big fan of how it looked. It looked grey/silver and my car is black so I didn't like it. All in all it was a good experience though, I can't remember what the guys name that was doing it is, but he said he is there everyday and he was very confident. I asked him before driving out, how long before any small bubbles I see will be gone and his reply was "there shouldn't be any bubbles" and once I took a good look at my car he was right.
