07 rearview mirror removal

I tint all my windows and now want to tint the windshield a 40 or 50 % any tips? It looks like it may crack if I take it off!

when i tinted my windshield the tint shop removed it for me (and put it back on).

yea, the tint shop I went to said they on "some" cars they dont want to chance cracking the glass, I'm kinda sketched out. Should I just tell him to do it, or try and find a different tint shop.
