props to Rock-Auto, window motor replacement

So I replaced my window motor the other day, sourced the part from Rock Auto as non of my local big parts chain stores could source the part for some reason. Certainly worth the savings by doing it on my own, I was a little surprised by all of the bolts used on the second internal door panel, but no biggy. I had nice weather at home so I actually did this in my parking spot.

...and now by posting this I suspect there are at least 10 people experiencing window failures today!

good luck with that rockauto remufactured window motor. I just replaced mine a few weeks ago. Both sides and the passenger side window motor failed on the same day I put it in. I ended up just getting the passenger motor from the dealer, sure it was more expensive but at least it works. Just a little history I've replaced window motors on several cars in the past and the remanufactured ones have only lasted a year on a couple of occasions. I think I'll just stick with new motors from now on.

By chance do you try to clean the window motor? I found a DIY on this site https://g35driver.com/forums/body-in...l-removal.html I'm going to try to clean the motor before I buy another motor. Well my friend hope you run into better luck.
