Exclamation Clear coat failure, Paint defect on 05 G35 (pictures)

Hello everyone.
I have a problem with the paint on my 2005 G35 Coupe, there are circular dots, I put pictures. But, actually is much worse.

I went to а body shop, but they dont know what exactly is, and what caused it. They told me that look like clear coat failure that may have formed from acid rain or any chemicals in the air. Also I let them try buffing and waxing the car, but that did not fix the problem, only made them not that visible. The Infiniti dealership told me that there is only one year warranty on the paint, and they dont see anything wrong with it, that is a normal condition. Yhea..OK

So, please if someone has seen something similar or knows what could be, let me know. I will be very happy to try something else to fix it instead of paying $6000 for repainting.

I'm not big on detailing but I'd try to claybar it and see if it helps, you can pick it up for around $20. takes awhile to do the entire car but well worth it, you must wax the car afterwards other wise it will make the condition alot worse. that would be my best bet.

There were spots like those on my car a while back... cleaning and washing didn't help. But when I waxed my car and took my sweet time they slowly came out.

i would take your car to a specialized car detailer who can give it a good run through with all the polishes/claybar/and such.

Yes, I did went to a specialist, pictures are taken after being buffed and waxed with two different waxes. Nothing changes. I just bought a Clay Kit, so I will try it tomorrow to see what is gonna happen, and I will update. Thanks for advices.

My dad kind of had similar thing, he painted his volvo and the dust sat on paint and dried out so maybe someone did bad job on the paint job. My brother had his 330i Painted and they did all sanding and everything for $1500 and they did very good. I don't know why people would pay $6000 for a paint job.

Well yeah code2424, but that is the original paint, never being repainted. Actually the paint looks perfect from distances, you need to take a real close look to notice the spots.
I have a photo album on the link: http://s611.photobucket.com/albums/tt195/g35dge/

looks like caked on water spots that had gotten onto the top coat

i had the same issue, a light wet sanding will take that out

but if it is on the windshield and rubber parts and can't come off them with just soap and water, then it aint water spots

What about taking it to someone who has a paint gauge to see how much clearcoat is left, if any?
