Removing tint

So I tried searching and came up with nothing. Threads that I came across were talking about not removing them becuase of the rear defrosters. I need to remove the front tints on my car and was quoted $20/door from a local shop. I'd take it off myself but I don't want to have to deal with the sticky residue that it leaves behind. Should I pay to get it done or take it off myself? Anyone know of a proper way to remove it without leaving any residue behind?

Yeah I've heard of that method but I don't have one.

You can remove the tint the Sticky residue will come off with glass cleaner and a razor or goof off and some towels and a razor. As for the rear defrosters you must go with the lines not against them.
