okay, so this one is really wierd...

I am installing a stereo in the car, and thought that my wiring was causing a problem, but after eliminating that from the equation, I still had my problem.

this is what happened...driving down the road, fixing my mirrors, and the fuse pops... dash lights go bye bye and the ac turns on full blast. I can control the stereo, ac, navigation, or the mirrors, and all the dash lights are out.

I come home, disconnect what i thought would be the problem, and it's not. still did it...after some more trial and error and a few fuses, I found that the mirror control, when toggled to the left mirror, will move it up and down, as well as side to side... Like it should.

Now, on the right side, I can move it side to side, but the moment I toggle up or down, the damn thing pops a fuse.

So, anyone have any ideas why :

1. the mirror fuse will also control dash lights and the ac controller, nav buttons, and radio?

2. why moving up and down would cause the fuse to pop...

and lastly, anyone have any ideas on how to fix this other than to not use the mirror switch?
