Re: clearance lights install

Re: clearance lights install

You need to jack the car up some, but the tire doesn't have to come off the ground. It also helps if you turn the wheel in
look here this will give you a little insight into whats necessary.....
make sure to remove the two screws on the top of the wheel well

Re: clearance lights install

just changed my clearance and sidemarker bulbs today

the good thing is that the blue is noticeable without the headlights, but with them on it appears more as a dull white/purple

I think im the only retard here....has anyone dropped the clearance bulb into the headlight housing..??? i was putting on my amber clearnace bulbs yesterday...i put it in its' socket...but when i turned on the lights to test it out....it didnt turn on....so I take it out...but this time when I take it out the bulb gets detached from the black thing...and basically falls into the headlight assembly.... doh.... I wonder where it's sitting right now??? well, i hope it doesnt cause any problems later

Re: clearance lights install

youre not the only one =\

my friend dropped one into mine on my install and i just dropped another into shawn's. aftermarket bulbs just dont seem to fit the wedge socket tight enough and it takes some wiggling to get the bulb into the housing. i tried tapping around on my fender and i could hear the bulb rattling around inside but there was just absolutely no way to get to it unless i took out the entire headlight housing.
