Shaved door handles ?

I wonder
I hear mixed reviews on them. The main complaint seems to be the fact that sometimes your door is too heavy for it to pop it right like on a hill etc. Sometimes the doors on the G35 remind me of a up-armored humvee when Im trying to get out on a slanted street. I have to like exert actual force to get the damn door open because its kinda heavy (yea I know, hit the gym lol).
Im positive that Im going to do this its just going to be a month or two. At least until I get the exhaust and s.c. on and tuned and done. Ill try and get a DIY if possible.

I have a never used AutoLoc kit. It's the biggest kit (strongest) you could buy at the time, it's about 5 years old and I know some of the small bolts and washers are missing, but I'll sell it to you for $40 plus shipping as is. NEVER got around to installing it, it's just been sitting on a shelf forever. I remember paying $200 for it back then...

i shaved my old maxima. wasnt too difficult. very time consuming though. you wont have an issue with the door being too heavy. as for battery dying, i wired up a hidden 9 volt terminal so if my battery ever died, i could simply run into any corner store and buy a battery to hook up and pop the door. system runs on 12v but 9v was enough to pop the door in an emergency. after having them, i dont think i would ever do it again on my DD but best of luck to you

i have installed door poppers on over 50 cars/trucks. it is a very straight forward job. i HIGHLY recommend installing a backup pull style cable. that runs to either the front fenderwell of to the grill. another easy backup route is to run a possitive and negative wire directly from the solenoid to the grill. and if the battery dies and you can not open the door. you just touch a 9 volt battery to the 2 doors and the door will pop open. of coarse that means you have to carry around a 9v.

Well I found a site that sells them for the coupe. I guess Im going to have to be the first. Im getting new side skirts and I'll have to have that done then too. I usualy buy the paint and the body guy is a very close friend so I don't think it will end up being that much. Locks were $99.00, Paint is $56. We'll see.
