Sylvania Silverstar Foglights

Hey anyone else installed the Sylvania Silverstar bulbs? I just put 4000k bulbs in and they're just almost like the stock ones. They're not as yellow as the stock...but they're still yellow. I bought these because they were the cheapest but I was just curious if anyone has or had the same situation.

I went with the MTEC super white H4's. They seem alot closer to matching the HID's, and they have a slight blue look to them when they are off.....

Re: Sylvania Silverstar Foglights

Looks good, great match. One issue I have is that the top light and the bottom light are sooo alike that they look like a big blob of white light. Correct me if I'm wrong! Does it look that way from a disstance? When I drive around I only use the HID top lights I don't ever turn on the lower fog lamps.

Thanks - Joey Avino

I'm running the same lights as GR8TG35, and I can't really say they look like a "blob" of light w/ both on.

They look exotic, w/ over under lights, and you can make out 2 lights till you get really far away. Then it really doesn't matter at like 500 yards!

I had the Silver Stars on for awhile. I thought they looked great. I now have PIAA's which look great too. One thing to remember, if you leave your fogs on a lot they will burn out pretty quick.

Re: Sylvania Silverstar Foglights

the silverstars are starting to look better actually...maybe they just needed some time to set in or something wierd like that but they're looking whiter now...def. better than the stocks. Did you change the silverstars out cuz they burned out? I'm hoping they last pretty long so I don't have to take the panel off again...that was kinda annoying but it was worth it..

Re: Sylvania Silverstar Foglights

The only reason I changed them out was because they burned out. I would have them on any time my headlights were on. Now, I only turn the fogs on every once in awhile so as to extend the life of the bulbs.

Re: Sylvania Silverstar Foglights

How long did you have them in the car before they burned out?

I've had my catz h4 bulbs in there for a year and half and still going. They are always on if my headlights are on. I opened the packaging and installed them with laytex gloves, so no oil got on them. I actually want them to burn out just so I can try something new.
