Removing trim?

Hey guys. I drive a 2007 G35s and I am planning to paint my exterior chrome trim this Saturday. Does anyone know if theres any way to remove the trim? I don't really want to just cover my entire car with tape, sand it down, prime and paint.

I did it on my 03. I will say this, be very gentle and be prepared to repair or replace a part. (worse case scenario) . If you dont have experience removing fragile trim I would not try it.

Thanks for replying.

What kind of paint, primer and sandpaper grit did you use? How much cans did you have to use to paint the trim?

I used SEM self-etching primer in a can. All other stuff was done in a spray booth with a professional paint line. Im an auto painter so I have access to better quality paints.

I would remove the parts and drop them off at a good shop. That way you get a warranty and a better result than you would from a can.

For reference I scuffed the chrome with 180 and a red scotchbrite pad, etch primer, 2k primer, sanded with 600, then painted black, then cleared
