I never really noticed this until cleaning today that the trim around the clock and A/C display isn't fitting right. I know I had a hell of a time getting off the upper part initially but now it's very easy and I feel like I broke something, but I don't believe I did, all the tabs seem to be intact. The top part doesn't lock but instead can be pushed up and down quite easily. The lower trim doesn't seem to have anything wrong with it either. Is there a trick to getting it back to normal fitment? Here are some pictures of what I'm referring to.





It seems the little nub on the upper piece is supposed to fit in there but I can't for the life of me get it to get in there.

Any tips would be appreciated.

P.S. 303 Aero spray is wonderful

 

Yah, it's tricky. Had some trouble getting it flush again after installing the iPod integration kit. Forgot how we got it flush again, but just fiddle with it and it'll fit correctly again...eventually lol.

 

Same thing happened to me, I came across TSB #ITB05-053 which said to install the top and bottom piece together. infinitihelp.com/diy has the TSBs, if you cannot access, let me know, Ill send it over to you.
