Looks like the back of the underpanel may not be attached properly. Mine sits right up against the frame.

^No you wouldn't. I'm slammed and I've installed mine so it sits up against my frame. I've banged mine really hard several times, no dents in it at all.

Yeah it does, provides such good protection though. It can take a beating.

Well, the OEM drain plug gasket failed for some reason causing a small oil leak. So I decided to pull the whole panel and see how it has been. I haven't taken it off or cleaned it since I first put it on. I wanted to see how it held up and to see if the was any rust. I have access to a lift, so removing it was fairly easy. I also changed my oil in the process.

My car gas been through rain, snow, heat, and just about everything else. It survived a long trip from San Diego to Italy while enduring all types of environments.

To my surprise, everything held up just fine. No rust! Nadda. It got a little dirty, yes, but nothing a little metal polish can't take care of. It's not as shiny as it used to be, but I could easily polish it up and make it look like new. The only thing I used to clean it was degreaser and a pressure washer. Excellent product.

Several have asked for pics of how I installed mine "above" my front bumper so that it sits up higher. Finally got a chance to take a photo yesterday when working on the car.

Besides the durability of this product, we added a subtle touch to the underpanel DOMO
