Undertray too short??

Hey guys, so I got a nismo bumper a while ago, and it seems to me as if the undertray is too short? It barely reaches the bumper, and I cannot find out where to attach it

This has caused the undertray to drag on the ground at high speeds. I remedied this problem by ziptieing the undertray to the bottom of the bumper, but at this point, i want to purchase a new undertray, and i am unsure if getting the stock one will suffice. thanks in advance

From who did you get your nismo bumper?

Mine has the same problem. Been using zipties for over 3 years.

Sounds like you have the Nismo V1 bumper without the mounting points for the undertray. If you had stock bumper and stoct undertray, then purchasing a new undertray might not help. You might have to get something modify. You should ask the guy you bought the bumper from, how he had it on. Sorry I couldn't be much help.

you may be SOL this used to happen a lot with the earlier nismo bumpers - they don't extend back far enough to tie into the undertray. zipties are the easiest and cheapest way to go. if you're adventurous, you can make an extension by cutting some rigid plastic to size then JB welding it to your undertray. ghetto but effective...

Get a piece of sheet metal from home depot, cut it to fit the shape up the bottom of the bumper, rivet it in or bolt it...

then you have something to mount your undertray

everything
Get a piece of 1/4" lexan. I cut a "stretcher" piece at work to fill the void. Drilled a couple holes in it and bolted to the existing tray and the bumper.

Remember, that sh;t needs to be unbolted if you have to gain access to the bottom of the engine, dont make it too complicated to take off....
