Why? I think plasti dipped rims are even better than this!!

Well, they wrap entire cars in it, so my guess is pretty durable.

you can still see the inner part of the wheel where its silver.. and yeah its durable on the body but not when its hot on a wheel..

I think its better than doing plastidip, at least vinyl applications are made for cars.... Not plastidip...

for winter setups, i dont think that's such a bad idea. wheels wont really get hot in the winter, and cheap protection that will come off easy if needed. i'd do the inside of the wheel also though.

That's so much easier, cleaner, and more efficient than painting. You can even do carbon fiber if you want.

Too bad they were scratching up the hardwood floors.

Cool idea, I'm surprise more people haven't experimented with this.... Imagine a clear vinyl to protect the custom finishes during winter or maybe it can be a vinyl with a design for promotional uses.
