I don't know what you are asking. Do you want to take the controls off or buy new ones?

You have to remove the steering wheel

After you remove the steering wheel, you have to remove the back cover from it. Remove the two screws that old the airbag cage/frame inside the steering wheel. After that comes out, there are 3 screws that hold hte back cover on. From there, there are two screws per switch/side, then they come right up and out.

im pretty sure that they are 0805 smd LEDs and all you have to do is solder the old ones off and then put the new ones on. im not sure but i think thats it. you can get them online at www.uniqueleds.com for about 37 cents a piece and if many colors.

you mean this?

http://www.unique-leds.com/index.php...roduct_id=1731

how sure are you? also would you simply place these in, or by soldering you mean you have to desolder the old ones and the new ones, and then replace the old surface mount LED with the new one.

Yes those are the lights. And it would involve desoldering the old and then soldering on the new. I'm not 100% sure that this is the case on the steering wheel controls seeing as I have not taken them off yet. I will soon this week when I change out the lights in the gauge cluster when the lights come in on Monday. I'll let you know as soon as possible thought seeing as I have a couple LEDs laying around ready to be put in the car. I'm hoping they are 0805.

Removing steering wheel
Disconnect your battery

You need to remove the airbag bolts (security torx screws) on the side of the steering wheel (under 2 little round covers on the sides of the wheel that just pop out).

Becareful removing the two plugs from the back of the airbag.

From there remove the 19mm nut off the center of steering wheel....pull it off....done

Amber, not orange btw. You're gonna need when you drive at night cause blue will hurt your eyes after while. I have blue gauge lights in my wife's Honda and I hate them! Much prefer the amber...

there are plenty of cars out there with blue gauges, im sure if done correctly it's just as fine as amber honestly. the color itself wont hurt your eyes, its the brightness and angle of the LEDs
